Accepted Styles
Slight hiccup in 2020, but we’re back at it with competitions in 2022!
Each brewer may enter up to three beers per round, with all entries earning points towards the year long Homebrewer of the Year competition. Each entry will earn 1 point, 1st place in that round will earn an additional 6 points, 2nd place will earn 4 points, and 3rd place will earn 2 points.

Categories listed are per the 2015 BJCP Style Guidelines. Entries must be registered prior to the start of the general meeting of the month listed in parenthesis for each round. Entry bottles must be dropped off at the general meeting of the same month.
Round 1: Smooth Jazz – Session/Low ABV Beers (March)
- 1D – American Wheat
- 2A – International Pale Lager
- 5A – German Leichtbier
- 11A – Ordinary Bitter
Round 2: Classic Rock – American Classics (June)
- 1B – American Lager
- 18A – Blonde Ale
- 19A – American Amber Ale
- 21A – American IPA
Round 3: Punk Rock – European Classics (August)
- 3A – Czech Pale Lager
- 11C – Strong Bitter
- 10A – Weissbier
- 15A – Irish Red
Round 4: Heavy Metal – High ABV/Imperial (November)
- 17A – British Strong Ale
- 17C – Wee Heavy
- 22D – Wheatwine
- 26C – Belgian Tripel
