A new Private Facebook group has been created for member’s only. If you’re a member in good standing, we encourage you to join.

We’ll also be rolling out a google group where members can share ideas, communicate, ask questions, plan recipes, etc. Members in good standing will get an invitation email shortly.
We’re looking to become a 501c(3) – Educational Non Profit. And that means updating our bylaws. We’ll be voting on these at the may meeting. To see the changes marked by the underline, please find them here:

BJCP Tasting Exam
A BJCP Beer Judging Exam (tasting) scheduled for May 21st. There is a single opening left.

Big Brew – National Homebrew Day – May 7th, 2016 at 1912 Brewing.
Tentative Schedule:
  • 7-9am – Setup
  • 10am (12 pm CDT) – National Simultaneous Toast
  • Flame on after toast
  • 1pm – Clean up
  • 3pm – Done
1912 will be hosting us this year. This will be an outside event for Tucson Homebrew Club members in good standing.

1912 will be doing the mash. Seeing as they have a 100 gallon capacity, sign up will be limited to 14 people at 7 gallons each, additional wort available if capacity is not reached or if someone signs up and can’t make it.

Bring all your necessary gear to brew. There will be water and electric available. We will be setting up in the back and should bring pop-up canopies as there is no shade. 

This is on a first-come-first-served basis. Cost for the event is $15. Sign up using the button below.

Volunteer Opportunity – AmeriCAN Canned Craft Beer Festival 2016

4th of July Camp out

Sign Up Dead line is May 15th. It will be canceled if we do not have at least 10 people signed up and commited to go.
We will be charging $10/night.

Space is limited to 10-12 cars, carpooling  up the mountain is highly recommended. 

All five group areas have picnic shelters that can accommodate between 40 to 90 people each and come equipped with drinking water, electricity, trash collection and vault toilets.

Common questions:
Can I just go up for the day?
Yes! Come hang out for the day, hike, drink, etc, and head back down the mountain the same day.

If I’m spending the night, do I have to stay the entire time?
No. Come and go as you please.

What is the club providing?
The club has reserved and paid for the camp ground that runs $100/day. Also, all the plates, utensils, etc. 

Will  there be BBQ?

What should I bring?
Basically, everything you would need to support yourself to camp, hike, hang out. Tents, food, beer, water, beer, CO2, jockey boxes, beer, charcoal, lamps, etc. 

Plus pot luck style dish(es) to share with everyone.

What will the weather be like?
Cooler than in Tucson!

July 4th Camp Out Sign Up
August Club Only Competition

We’ll be doing a club only competition at our August Meeting. This will be similar to 2015’s May club only. It will be member’s choice, and the winner will get to brew their recipe with a local brewery!

We’ll be limiting the styles to Summer Styles (Wits, Saisons, and Belgian Abbey beers) those that ferment well during the summer months. More info on this will be provided later. Start thinking about it!
